A fun loving mermaid, Marnie is a dear friend to all the sea creatures. However, when plastic pollution becomes a serious threat to her friends lives, she must work up the courage to confront the human, Madeline to stop throwing trash from her yacht before the situation gets much worse.

Underneath the cartoon imagery of these fantasy-like characters and setting, this film is expected to shock audiences with it’s surprisingly gruesome images and dark humour, showcasing the harm of plastic pollution to marine life. Ultimately combining fantasy storytelling with environmental issues whilst also inflecting empathy towards the characters in the film.
