In 2015, I was honored to return to Door of Hope and create more artwork for a new renovation project. Hilton would be renovating the main hub of this non-profit's operation and art was needed to hang in the residential hallways, common areas and intake office. This time the art would happen in real time and need to be created alongside the volunteers renovating the space.  

For this project, I opted to use geometric designs drawn with painter's tape. Volunteers could work on one piece or jump from design to design adding their inspiration and creativity. 

Everyone was so excited to remove the tape and reveal the final works!

The last piece was a special oil painting I created. A large leafless tree was drawn in the middle to accept the finger prints of each volunteer that offered their service during the event. On either side was a painting of each Door of Hope complex that Hilton renovated. The final piece hung in the organization's intake office to greet the guests who walk through the doors looking for hope.
