Nike 'Lace Up for Aids' Superfly - Virtual Concept

Lace Up for HIV/Aids - Virtual Concept. Back in November 30, 2009 some of the world’s best footballers including Didier Drogba joined Bono at the announcement of the partnership between NIKE, Inc. and RED to deliver a two-pronged approach to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.
In much of Africa, HIV/AIDS remains a fact of life and the campaign back in 2009 delivered funds to support programs that offered education and medication on the ground and harnessed the power of sport to engage youth around the world in the fight against AIDS in Africa. In 2016, 1 million people died of HIV-related illnesses globally, according to the World Health Organization.
The Nike and (RED) concept is a simple one that invites people to “Lace Up. Save Lives” by purchasing a pair of NIKE (PRODUCT)RED™ laces. One hundred percent of the profits from (NIKE) RED laces will be split equally between The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, which funds AIDS programs that provide medicine for those living with HIV, and football-based community initiatives that deliver education and understanding around HIV/AIDS prevention.
The Superfly' design follows true to the 2009 campaign featuring royal red laces. To emphasize the message the upper uses royal red as the primary colour while accents of white are seen on the Nike Swoosh, heel tab and soleplate.
