I was captivated by Dolce & Gabbana’s Vogue October 2021 editorial photo. Their use of bold colours in contrast with leopard print was the main inspiration for this project. I researched animal prints that I like and put them in contrast with bold colours.
My research/ mood board is a collage of animal prints and images that I have experimented with- Images including the Dolce & Gabbana editorial photo, As well as, other garments with animal print focus.

at first I struggled with the softwares I used, but my determination to learn pushed me through. I really enjoyed using photoshop to collage images and create my mood-board. I found that I worked well with Fresco and illustrator, However I would like to learn more about how to use them more effectively. I took joy in my experimental period, as it gave me some creative freedom, and I liked seeing my final design in a variety of different colour pallets. Overall I was quite proud of this project, because it made me want to continue my pathway into fashion printed textile, as well as reassure myself that I have fundamental skills and knowledge to create a print.
