Brooklyn & Coney Island on Film

I do admit its somewhat rare for me to shoot film, however I enjoy every shot I take (even the crappy ones). My Nikon F4S is epitome the word analog in my opinion. When everything is set "correctly" for any given photo its a rewarding feeling that is physically felt.

I was assigned to be the photographer for a party in Brooklyn the night of. So I hit the road driving from Philadelphia. When I finally parked near the hotel I actually had some time on my hands during the day. So I decided to loaded up a short roll of film, Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 400 and take a walk.

The day after the party I decided to take a short drive to Coney Island. Initially I was really concerned about the weather. Along my drive there was a cloudy day and having already loaded a big roll of Kodak Ektar is was concerned how the color pallet would turn out and how the overall feeling of the photos would potentially turn out. However once I had two feet on the sand it was a surprising bright day along the famous boardwalk. Finding correct exposure was difficult since it was so bright and the light was reflecting against the sand and having never shot this film before.

Overall is was a nice time having shot film in New York versus digital for a change & I hope I can do this again going into the near future. Thank You.
