Concept: CIRCULATION AND WAYFINDING:
With the introduction of CBC, Senior secondary schools have become a crucial part of the curriculum where specialization takes place into different pathways
Given the diversity of the pathways, an approach that caters for the broadest range of users should be taken in design in order to ensure efficient and convenient circulation and wayfinding in schools.
The Project Description.
The Senior Secondary School with be a school under CBC Curriculum for the Eastern Region to cater for all students around the area.
Concepts Elaboration.
The main concept adopted in ensuring efficient wayfinding and circulation was the adoption of both horizontal and vertical axis to ensure both efficient connection between the pathways.
The axis will ensure efficient circulation in the facility.
AMENITIES:

CENTRAL NODE:
Amphitheatre formed as a meeting point from the intersection of the vertical and horizontal axis forming a Node which creates a point of interest in the project.
HOW CIRCULATION AND WAYFINDING HAS BEEN ACHIEVED IN THE PROJECT.
•Spatial organization.
•Access: Frontal access.
•Entrance: Recessed
•Configuration of paths.
•Visual elements: Color coding.
1.RECESSED ENTRANCE AND FRONTAL APPROACH.
Use of recessed entrance to communicate to the visitor they are crossing the threshold of the institution. The entrance is well defined by the use of an
entrance porch , has a frontal approach hence can be easily identified by any user of the facility making it easy for wayfinding.
2.SPATIAL ORGANIZATION:
Radial organization
Use of radial planning to bring together all different forms and unction to create a cohesive structure. It forms a central node amphitheater where all functions radiate from.
3.CONFIGURATION OF
CIRCULATION PATH:
A simple path configuration to ensure efficient circulation with the adoption of horizontal and vertical axis.
