DESCRIPTION / ARGUMENTATION OF THE IDEA

Early life experiences can affect how our genes work much later and even affect longevity, it has been found in a new fruit fly study led by UCL researchers. With the help of this research, scientists and doctors, learning how the memory of gene expression can last a lifetime and affect gene activity may create ways to counter these changes later to preserve health and allow people stay healthy longer.

I think that it is not only promising a lot of changes for humanity, but and indeed an interesting and unusual study. As soon as I read it abstract of this article, my attention was drawn to the fact that in the study fruit flies are used, which in daily life
causes negative emotions in life, especially in the household,
however, it has become a very useful part of research in medicine.

On the cover of the "Medicina" magazine, I depict the main part of the article that caught my attention - with the help of fruit flies, the reason why the habits of our previous life affect the activity of genes in the future was studied. I chose to depict a transparent gene symbol in which you can see fruit flies. My goal was to show that it is not uncommon behind scientific research, there are small and unexpected research objects.
