December 2010 – Milk Teeth
Materials
1 cup whole milk
3 teaspoons white vinegar
Small saucepan
Clean glass jar
Wax paper
Method
-Pour the milk into saucepan and add 2 teaspoons of vinegar. Heat, stirring frequently.
-The milk will boil and start to divide into lumps in clear whey.
-Spoon the curds into the glass jar and add 1 teaspoon of vinegar. Let it stand for a couple of hours.
-Remove the yellowish curds, rinse with water and knead into dough.
-Model and let air dry on wax paper.
Observations
Changing milk teeth to permanent ones is a sign of change. The person is growing and thus, must let go of some pearls in order to make space for new presences.
