This project was the product of me and my classmate, Cassandra Beltran. We each started a document in Adobe Illustrator and swapped documents back and fourth five separate times, not communicating throughout the process but building off of the other person's ideas.
The first step we completed was starting the document with a base color or sketch. I created a vertical layout with a brick-red color and Cassandra started her document with a sketch.
In the next step I was tasked with creating something that would go with the sketch Cassandra made. The sketch reminded me of a game I used to play that was fire and ice themed so I decided to create a background with fire and ice colors.
Cassandra created a plant in the composition that I started.
Next I was working on the composition I had started. I added a sun and green color to the plants. Cassandra added two cities to the composition she had started.
Here I created colors for the dress of the character and Cassandra worked on the plant composition.
I then created some stylized lights for the plant composition while Cassandra worked on the other composition.
Finally I added plants and texturing to the composition Cassandra started while she added the finishing touches to the composition I had started.
