Awarded Project: Cant You See Me? (2021)

HSC PROJECT: Can't You See Me? (2021)
Using a central human character and hand-made puppets, my film playfully combines stop-motion animation and live footage to contrast the physical with the virtual world. The virtual world can be used as a tool by individuals to disconnect themselves to connect with others, thus exposing the irony of human relationships being replaced by the advancements of technology. I have made these playful puppets as enticing representations of this virtual world, with their soft and toy-like features that bid you stay in their imaginary world behind the flat screen.
