This product is a traffic light that allows a driver to recognize the remaining time of the green light while driving from a distance.
The traffic lights are designed in an arch form surrounding the road so as to serve as one molding for decorating the road, not only the traffic signal device, so as to harmonize with the surrounding environment.
The signal system starts with the LED panel full of green.
Over time, the visual length of the green light gradually decreases from left to right.
A green signal changes to yellow when the length of the green signal reaches about 1/6 of the total length, and a red signal fills the LED panel when the length of the signal is all reduced.
Consequently, the driver can recognize the remaining time of the signal and prevent a misconduct resulting in a speed violation by not slowing down the sudden yellow signal.
Therefore, the commercialization of this product is expected to significantly reduce the number of traffic accidents related to signal violations.

본 제품은 운전자가 멀리서도 주행하면서 녹색 신호의 잔여 시간을 인지할 수 있는 신호등이다.
현재 통용되고 있는 3~4개의 점광등으로 이루어진 형태와, 가는 전봇대 형태에서 벗어나 한 면을 LED 패널로 채워 가시성을 확대했다.
또한 신호등이 교통 신호 장치에 국한되지 않고 도로를 장식하는 하나의 조형물의 역할을 하도록 도로를 감싸는 아치 형태로 디자인하여 주변 환경과의 조화를 꾀했다.
신호 체계는 LED 패널이 녹색으로 가득 채워진 상태에서 신호가 시작된다.
시간이 흐를수록 녹색 신호의 시각적 길이가 왼쪽에서 오른쪽으로 점점 짧아진다.
녹색 신호의 길이가 전체의 1/6 정도의 길이에 도달했을 때 황색으로 바뀌며, 신호 길이가 다 줄었을 때 적색 신호가 LED 패널을 채운다.
이로써 운전자는 신호의 잔여 시간을 인지할 수 있어 갑작스러운 황색 신호에 속도를 줄이지 못하고 속도위반을 하게 되는 불상사를 예방할 수 있다.
따라서 본 제품을 상용화할 경우, 신호 위반과 관련된 교통사고 건수가 크게 감소할 것으로 예상한다.
아치 모양의 본 제품은 양면으로 사용 가능하다.
이에 신호등 기둥 하나에 한쪽 방향의 신호만 설치할 수 있는 현재 신호등보다 훨씬 경제적이다.
또한 무게 분산을 가장 효과적으로 수행한다고 알려진 아치 형태로 각중 태풍이나 지진 등에 취약하지 않고 견고하게 지탱할 수 있다.
본 제품 이미지는 2차선 도로에 적합한 형태이다.
3차선 이상의 넓은 도로에는 신호등의 중앙 무게 균형을 유지하기 위해 중앙 분리대 위치에 기둥을 세워 올려 신호등의 가운데 부분과 접합한다.
