Fluid Particles in Data Viz

After seeing this animated trophy from the Nike Fuel Band App , I wondered how easy it would be to repoduce and into a ready to input data visulisation. My theory behind the excerise was using Realflow, Maya and Nuke in producing Data Viz in the simple form of producing lopops of 0-1 factors with atleast 10 increments. Using shape and colour to aid producing increments. Creating the render layers to help with having measurable increments would be incredibly important.
