Pre-Production

The storyboards share a couple of ideas I came up with for the final gif/cinemagraph. The first idea would be a gif of a mug full of coffee with the latte art moving. The second idea would be an illustration showing a rainbow connecting one cloud to another. The third idea would be a paintbrush creating a stroke of paint. I chose to work on a prior painting I have created, but adding some movement to the coffee cup, like the first idea I had in mind.

Production

I have my painting scanned and I brought it into photoshop to add certain layers and elements to edit within After Effects. From there, I look for stock film online (link below) to add onto my cinemagraph project. I add these elements of steam between some layers within the blue coffee cup on the table. For the cigarette, I add some smoke also retrieved from the free stock website. I adjust the movement and angle for the cigarette, since the cigarette itself will also be moving.

Post-Production

Once all the edits have been made, I save the project as an animated gif. I had trouble properly downloading this file, as I did not properly size the gif and it would cause Photoshop to crash when uploading. I edited the composition settings and uploaded to Photoshop in order to save for the web.
