SIRKAL (Luo corruption for the Swahili word meaning Government)

Since time in memorial the Kenyan Football team Gor Mahia has been known for its over fanatic, radical, die hard football fans, fans who match and walk for kilometres to attend a game or better yet hire mini vans and blow Vuvuzela's through the windows chanting songs only they can understand. They are the legendary fans who used to walk into stadiums with briefcases full of stones just incase the opponent brings some mischief and after the game dance all the way to the city centre bare chest, dancing, sitting on the road holding up traffic.

Despite all this, I came to realise that the fans have a government and this is their story.

"I CHANGES PRIMARY SCHOOL 3 TIMES  SO THAT MY UNIFORM COULD MATCH THAT OF KOGALO (GOR MAHIA)"
"I DIVORCED MY FIRST WIFE BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T LIKE GOR. MY 2ND HAS NO CHOICE."
"IF I’M NOT BURIED IN A GREEN COFFIN THE CAR WON’T MOVE. JARO WILL COMMAND MY FUNERAL"
