Part 1 of my Desktopography/Zbrush expedition. I really wanted to capture the concept of learning a new tool, and the endless possibilities it presents, at the same time representing the exhibition's ever-evolving nature.
The astronaut was modeled in Zbrush, and rendered with it's BPR system. Overall, there were 27 passes, mainly for color so I didn't have to do so much post. My first time doing any kind of anotomical sculpting, I mainly wanted to get the right form down without having a ton of unnecessary details. But rest assured, the obsession will get worse...
