To know how to use Arduino and learn how to program it is a must now a day so I made a combination between this technology, lighting and design. The objective of the assignment was to introduce to us the basics of how this platform works and to develop a design project that fulfills a necessity.

With the advisement of Industrial Designer Luis Gonzalez and Engineer Ángel Molina I designed a purse that lightens whenever someone calls you to your cellphone.
This object helps users to identify if someone is trying to reach them in places were music is to loud and you can´t hear if a person is calling; the purse starts emitting light whether the phone is in it or not.

To be able to track a signal from the phone to the Arduino I had to use a Bluetooth sensor and an app developed by the MIT. Once the devices were connected, the programing was settled so that the strip of leds would light up intermittently during the call.

The strip was sawed in the internal sector of the flap and all the mechanism was stored in the lower part of the purse.
