Photomanipulations - 2014 to Present

In this project you'll see what I can do with Photoshop. This is a series of photomanipulations, in which I've tried to transform bland images into ones that are surrealistic and magical. For the first three images, the "Lone Tree", "Australian Highway" and "Ice World", I included the original images I've created them out of, as to give you an impression of the huge difference between an image before and after I'm done with it. For the rest, I've just uploaded the final result to avoid this becoming a mile long post.

These images were used for different clients. Some simply as wallpapers, others as song covers on YouTube and some as decoration art on websites (you can actually see the Lone Tree atop the website in my Brainvoyager project). Ultimately, though, I've made all of them just because I find it fun to do so.
Lone Tree

For this first attempt, I just tried to transport a poor tree suffering from bad and bland weather to the most mystical place in the universe.
Australian Highway

For this one I took a random Australian desert highway and tried to do something with it that I thought would be amongst the hardest things doing: turning a bright day into a dark night. It has a surrealistic touch with the blue and bright star clusters.
Ice World

I've tried turning our pole cap into a desolated ice world. Huge amounts of color correction, added lighting, effects, objects et cetera; you'll see for yourself.
City Overhead

Simply a city from up in the sky. Edited in things like the stars, moon, clouds and rain, amongst color corrections.
Autumn Lake

A peaceful lake during autumn; edited with heavy color corrections like actually turning stuff into the bright brownish red/orange, some star-like stuff up in the sky and improved lighting. Imagine being the dude sitting on a bench on the right...
Finding Nemo

I've put most of the objects in this image in there myself, next to the usual corrections in brightness and color. Nemo isn't that hard to find. He's not even really hiding...
Meteor Rain

This particular one wasn't changed too much as it was already very nice to me. I just made the red lava stuff way brighter and more intense, next to adding in the actual meteors.
Aalten

The village I was raised in for most of my life - lived there for 16 long years... This was close to my house and I used to cycle over this little lane when I had just learnt how to ride a bycicle at 5 years old. I drove into the water only once. This images illustrates what the relatively early memory of the place looks like in my head. Basically, it was always very sunny.
Frozen Moon

A lake between mountains. Like the Australian Highway, I turned this one from day to night and made it look more like it's a frozen world by giving it a cold atmosphere with blue and white, minimizing waves in the water to make it look like ice. Added the moon and its reflection, wanted to make the moon look like it's frozen as well and added in the fog over mountains.
Austria

A random picture of Austrian mountains, once again turned from day to night. The space horizon and blue fog over the mountains give it the surrealistic, magical feeling, while the highlighted car roads that go over the mountains show the fingerprint humanity has left on the area.
