Starbucks Google in-store welcome page

Doberman did the design and development for Starbucks' splash page when customers logged onto the Wifi in any North American store, which was deployed and built upon for three years. The site was in partnership with Google, so they were our client and I worked with Google Project Managers to realize new marketing initiatives.

For 6 months I and one other developer assisted with maintenance, new feature development, and deployment on Google Cloud Platform. For 2 months of that, I was solely responsible for deploying new features to the site's 15 million monthly visitors.

The site had cards similar to Google Now. One set of new features I helped developed were a series of place cards leveraging the Google Maps API. I helped architect the integration with the Django backend which eventually stored information about thousands of nearby places for in-store customers, and I developed the front end code for each of these cards. We A/B tested these using Google Analytics, and used deep linking to take users into the native apps when possible.
Here's a screenshot of the larger app, just so you can get a sense of what it was. I didn't do most of these cards, but I helped maintain the project with bug fixes and new features.
