The Standard Bank Joy of Jazz is Jozi’s premier annual jazz festival.
With this filmed activation, we brought a very unique jazz band to the heart of the city.
We set up a full jazz ensemble in Pigeon Square, scattered seeds and popcorn over them and waited for our musicians to assemble. It wasn’t long before the sounds of pigeon jazz filled the air.
The event brought this year’s big idea of “Jazz is back in the city” to life in a fresh way, thereby introducing the Joy of Jazz to a wider audience.
