The Vintage:

In spite of the drought, California’s 2015 vintage was nothing short of spectacular.  This warm and dry weather pattern persisted throughout the 2015 growing season allowing fruit to ripen earlier than previous years.  The result was small berry size and more concentrated flavors.  These favorable ripening conditions translated to exceptional flavor development and phenomenal wine quality.

Tasting Notes:
This generous wine encompasses the true varietal character and power of Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from prized vineyard sites throughout California.  An aromatic lift of fresh cherry, dry thyme and toasted black peppercorn abound from the glass.  On the pallet, flavors of black cherry and plum compote frame the heart of this wine. Firm tannins, balanced acidity and compelling layers of semi-sweet chocolate and dark roast espresso beans defines the long and layered finish of this wine.
