This is an ongoing portrait collection of interesting or colorful women I see in Queens, New York, where I live. They are painted with gouache and pencil on paper. Each portrait measures about 2" by 7".
Of the 2 million Queens residents, more than 1 million are immigrants from over 100 countries speaking hundreds of different languages. That makes Queens one of the most diverse counties in the world. For an artist attracted to people, I'm constantly admiring and grooving on the beautiful women of Queens.
