This project called “Giants of Design Booklet” where I have to design a booklet with six pages layouts with twelve panels double-sided. The project is focusing on a designer and in this project I have to determine what the layout is by communicate in the style or process of the subject. The designer that I have chosen is Alex Trochut because he is my favorite designer that inspired me.

Alex was born in Barcelona. He noticed himself that he is born to be a creative designer. Alex had always liked drawing and he wanted to work as a creative career. In his creativity he chose Graphic Design over fine art as a practical outlet. Everything he does he starts of by hand first and finishes his project on computer. He determines himself as a “Digital Craftsman”. Alex, typography function on two hierarchical letters. First, there is the image of word we see and make reading come secondary. He makes languages as a visual medium. Alex makes a reading become the same action as an image and text become one unified expression. Through, mixing style loosing, lots of organic form and combine with pop culture, fashion, street culture and music inspires Alex’s work.

In this project I have picked his style to work on by creating artworks base on his illustration styles and using pop culture, fashion, street culture and music as a main topic to create my artwork. I chose music as the main idea for my design layout because music has inspired Alex to come up with ideas. I also include typography in every works to show his typographic style as a typographer. Alex typographic style is breaking the restriction of normal lettering without breaking the line of communication so I used this idea to create my typographic based on his style.
