IGRAPHIC design bureau has created a logo and identity for “Qazaq Auyl” restaurant.
An alpine restaurant complex of Kazakh cuisine Qazaq Auyl is located at an altitude of 1700 meters, in the lower reaches of the Kim Asar gorge.
Founded in 1976 it is a monument of Soviet architecture, an attraction of the city.
The restaurant complex is located on the natural slope of Medeu natural boundary, on a land of more than 2 ha and is a unique observation platform overlooking Medeu ice rink, the dam and Abay peak.
At the basis of the brand identity – is an original mosaic above the main entrance, which has been saved since 1976. The designers at IGRAPHIC managed to keep the style of the mosaic in a precise way and give it a modern look. A grotesque font was taken as the basis for the logo, adapted to the main idea of the brand.
Patterns are used in the design of promotional products, menus, packaging and much more. Each pattern shows sketches of the steppe life.
The brand’s identity combines minimalism, "naturalness" and Kazakh authenticity. The colours give a sense of celebration, warmth and openness. Brand identity can be developed further due to the variety of images and forms.
