BODYMAN vs BIRDMAN
Bodyman is a 2018 Bruneian low-budget indie superhero film by Ad.Deen that became infamous for its trailer. The titular character's name is a play on the country's 1999 SEA Games mascot, "Awang Budiman".
Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) is a 2015 black comedy-drama film by Alejandro G. Iñárritu starring Michael Keaton, about a faded actor best known for playing the superhero "Birdman" as he struggles with life on Broadway & his legacy.
BRIEF
To parody a movie poster by editing or painting with Adobe Photoshop.
PROCESS
For this project, I merged Bodyman into the teaser poster for Birdman. Birdman's top cast & billings were swapped with Bodyman's. Some elements present in Bodyman's poster like the theme song lyrics, PeSTAB's logo & red title logo were ditched.
Birdman's costume was repainted into a slightly redesigned Bodyman suit. While I tried to de-age Michael Keaton, I couldn't make his hairline fuller without it looking awkward so I modified the parody as if it's the 7th iteration of Bodyman films where the hero is matured.
