"Ebola: Desarrollo y Caos" Album Design and Visual Identity
For Ebola’s first LP album release and promotion, we needed to create many different pieces so I had to work with more “traditional” methods of creation and printing. The album title was “Desarrollo y Caos” (Development and Chaos) and the main conceptual approach was the juxtaposition of rigid, cold and simple 3D structures with broken, organic textures.
At the same time, the musical material in the album is very heavy with lots of electronic textures and organic noise which made me decide to stay away from the imagery traditionally associated with “harsh” music. I committed to play with a very simple color palette (mostly primary colors) and use a lot of “synthetic” graphics (3D graphics and wireframes seemed very forward thinking at the moment). That visual language was translated to all the other formats that needed to represent the band at that period, from posters to the website and ads.
