Onefootball is the most comprehensive football app worldwide. 

It provides news and realtime scores of almost every league.

After a considerable amount of negative feedback about app notification sounds

we decided to redesign them. User-oriented.

1 - We studied users problems;

2 - We started a collaboration with a sound designer, guiding him to the results we wanted to achieve;

3 - We tested users happiness about the new proposed sounds;

4 - We implemented the new sounds.

We decided to use two methodologies to get feedback for our work, a qualitative

and a quantitative one.

1 - Interviews we prepared a 3 minutes interview to test the comprehensibility

and the liking of the new sounds.

We reported the data and worked on the lessons learned on a rainbow

spreadsheet.

2 - A/B testing we implemented the sounds on a 30% user-based sample for

a month and afterwards we sent an in-app survey to find out if the new

sounds are better than the old ones based on users’ spontaneous preference.
