Lunar 1969 by Col&MacArthur

We created this animation for Col&Mac Arthur, a Belgian watchmaking company that was built on a shared passion for horology and heritage.

Col&Mac Arthur created this watch, the Lunar 1969, to honor man's first steps on the moon. As a first in the watchmaking industry, everyone who purchases a Lunar 1969 can have their watch be launched into near space before receiving it.

The first part of this video shows real footage of the very first Lunar 1969 watch being sent into near space, on the 50th anniversary of the start of the Apollo 11 mission. Once the weather balloon bursts, we take over showing its imaginary journey through space.

The project was done in a relatively short amount of time, about 3 weeks from the first concept to the finished animation.

We are huge fans of Tesla and SpaceX, so we couldn't resist to say hi to Starman !
