Posters from the Wizarding World

Harry Potter is one of my most favourite series of all time. Growing up with it, the seven books has influenced much of my work and interests (the gravitation toward fantasy and whimsy). Given any excuse to do anything Potter-related, I will do it.

In mid-2012, I decided to join a poster design competition brought to the world by the website Mugglenet and the amazing design team behind every Potter film--MinaLima Designs. The prompt for the competiton was products and events from the wizarding world of Harry Potter, and throughout the entry period, I got to make 3 Potter Pieces. As the polls drew, I didn't expect two of my posters to come up in the Top 20 of the public choice round. One of my works got at 6th place--didn't expect to get anything at this point. I was just glad to be in the Top 10 for the next round. The next round of choosing the winner was at the hands of MinaLima, and luckily for me, out of the many contenders to win the coveted signed original copy of the Quibbler, my poster got chosen by two of my favourite designers for the win.
Annual Broom Race to Sweden
(The Chosen One)
For You, Floo Powder
Ogden's Old Firewhiskey!

And a bonus poster I made during my spare time (and for a movie marathon I'm planning!)
