FLUD Brand & iPad App v1.0 - Mobile News Reader

Mission: "FLUD is a modern, beautiful and personalized mobile news ecosystem with a vision to empower it's users to interact with each other to access, engage and broadcast news topics that are relevant to them."

This was a personal project and experiment that I took on with a buddy of mine, Matthew Ausonio. I designed and branded the app while he developed it. The goal was to create a sexy mobile news reader application and to do it within a month. It was tough since we both worked on it part-time and from different locations.

To make an outstanding app, we decided to use a ubiquitous API. To get fluders the best possible framework we decided on FRAPI. You guys should check it out, its an open source framework developed by the awesome David Coallier and echolibre. We were very fortunate to have him come on board and hit a home run when we needed it the most... David and echolibre are now part of the FLUD core :)

There is a similar app in the app store, but it isn't fun to look at and it has too many restrictions-- we weren't happy and decided to do one ourselves! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the end result.
