New Balance recently opened a new store on Boylston Street in downtown Boston. As part of the opening they implemented a relatively new form of customer engagement, a responsive RFID digital experience.
Customers pick up a shoe, which has been tagged with an RFID chip (Radio Frequency Identification), triggers an interactive touch-screen experience on the nearby screen. By interacting with the screen customers can learn all about the product they hold in their hand.
This was a really fun, interesting final project before setting out
on my own.
