Many Filipinos possess an extreme attachment to communication, sometimes to a fault. More and more car accidents have been reported in Metro Manila in the past years, a portion of which was said to be due to distractions caused by texting or calling.
To remind people of the dangers of phone use while driving, we created a print ad campaign that would make motorists understand what they can miss when they are distracted on the road with their phones. This was communicated through an execution where pedestrians were painted to blend with the background of familiar streets of Manila.
The print ads were released in main broadsheets, catching the attention of journalists and columnists. Nokia also received numerous calls commending them for the campaign.
